Startupbootcamp is thrilled to announce the selection of 10 innovative startups for the first cohort of its Food & AgriTech Accelerator

Startupbootcamp, recognized as Europe’s leading accelerator (Financial Times, 2024), is thrilled to announce the selection of 10 innovative startups for the first cohort of its Food & AgriTech Accelerator. Operating out of its headquarters in Amsterdam, this accelerator is a crucial initiative within Startupbootcamp's mission to drive innovation in the rapidly advancing sectors of food technology and agriculture.

The Food & AgriTech Accelerator is dedicated to nurturing startups that utilize advanced technologies to transform the agriculture and food industries. With a commitment to scaling impactful solutions, the program addresses pressing issues such as sustainable farming, food security, supply chain optimization, smart agriculture, and the development of alternative food sources. By focusing on these key areas, the accelerator aims to catalyze groundbreaking advancements in the Food & AgriTech sector.

Aligned with Startupbootcamp's mission to support 100,000 startups and develop transformative technologies, the Food & AgriTech Accelerator strives to help achieve the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The accelerator not only aims to promote cutting-edge innovation within the agriculture and food industries but also to support startups in adopting sustainable business practices that reflect global trends in digital and ecological transformation.

From a competitive pool of over 3,000 applicants, 20 startup teams were carefully selected to participate in an intensive Selection Day. These teams showcased their innovative ideas to a curated panel composed of investors, industry leaders, mentors, partners, and the Startupbootcamp team.

Following the Selection Day, ten standout startups were chosen to join the accelerator and become part of Startupbootcamp's SBC Bold 2 investment portfolio. Here is an overview of the selected startups:

  1. GrowSmart - Empowering the agri-food and human health sectors with advanced microbiome-based solutions, transforming by-products into high-value next-gen biostimulants and innovative therapies for a healthier planet and people
  2. AgroConform - AgroConform empowers farmers with an End-to-End precision agriculture platform, seamlessly integrating AI-driven insights, digital twin simulations, and blockchain traceability to optimize yields, enhance sustainability, and unlock premium markets
  3. TeoTechnology - Automating yield estimation with reliable harvest predictions and clear KPI reports for fruit farming
  4. SwissSoil - Scaling Intelligence in Agriculture
  5. Tanit - Leading the Global Transition to Regenerative Agriculture
  6. MUCHgroup - Our mission is to deliver joy through the experience of good meat-free food: real tastes, real texture and real ingredients
  7. Zaoshinani - Zaoshinani is an agri-fintech that is driving digitization for agricultural societies and uses the data to tailor financial inclusion for smallholder farmers.
  8. AFO Acuaponia - Integrating ancestral knowledge with tech for developing urban farms for producing organic food
  9. NanoFarm Agritech - Developing 100% automated cultivation systems managed by artificial intelligence saving up to 95% of water consumption
  10. Smart Soil Py - Disease prediction service for extensive crops

The Food & AgriTech accelerator program provides comprehensive support to startups, covering all aspects from product development to investor readiness. Participants will have access to experienced mentors from various industries, a vast network of potential investors, and over €500,000 in partner deals designed to help them achieve their business goals, scale rapidly, and maximize their impact.

The accelerator program will culminate with Impact Week, scheduled from the 25th to the 29th of November. Impact Day is the final event where the selected founders will pitch their startups to a select audience of mentors, partners, and investors.
