Amsterdam – May 16, 2024 – Startupbootcamp is thrilled to announce that Tulyp, alumni from the Fintech & Cybersecurity 2022 accelerator, has successfully raised €1.5 million in seed funding. This round was led by Speedinvest, with participation from Kima Ventures, Purple Venture, and prominent business angels.
Tulyp is pioneering the future of international trade by providing a centralized platform designed to secure, finance, and accelerate trade transactions. Their mission is to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the same high-caliber Trade Finance services traditionally reserved for large corporations, ensuring that SMEs can confidently engage in and secure their international operations.
Maxime Girres, CEO & Founder of Tulyp, expressed his excitement about the funding milestone, stating, "With these financing rounds, we will be concentrating primarily on technology, acquisition, and the development of partnerships. All this with a view to developing new trade finance services, particularly in the fields of credit insurance and Ad Valorem transport insurance."
Tulyp’s participation in Startupbootcamp's Fintech & Cybersecurity 2022 program was a pivotal moment in their journey. During the accelerator, they were mentored by Guido Ruggeri and other industry experts, allowing them to enhance their technology, explore new market opportunities, and build a robust international network.
"We are incredibly proud of Tulyp’s achievements and their commitment to transforming the trade finance landscape for SMEs." said Elizabeth Kleinveld, Director of Acceleration. "It’s all about the team. Their dog with a bone mentality and commitment to offering creative solutions that foster trust and make international trade seamless are an example of the impact we aim to support through our accelerators."
